Using this site

By reading Board & Pin you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, the site is still here for you to close.

The recipes are tested on domestic equipment, on a home stove and with a hand-cranked machine, and they are written to be followed. They are not a substitute for your own judgement about whether an ingredient is safe to eat: eggs and flour carry a risk of foodborne illness, and if you are pregnant, immunocompromised, or cooking for someone who is, use pasteurised egg and follow your local food-safety guidance. Fresh pasta made with raw egg should be cooked through and refrigerated if it is held for more than an hour or two.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. Flours, ovens, hobs and pasta machines vary, and a figure that works on the bench this site is written from may not work on yours. Where a card gives a millimetre measurement beside a notch number, that measurement is the one to trust.

Board & Pin is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site or from following a recipe, including a spoiled batch of dough. If a card is wrong, write in and it will be corrected.

Reusing the content

The written cards, the ratio tables, the illustrations and the code that generates them are the copyright of Board & Pin. You are welcome to cook from them, print them for your own kitchen, and quote a short extract with a link back to the page it came from.

Republishing a card in full, translating it and publishing the translation, or feeding the content into a site that republishes it, is not permitted without written permission. To ask, write to [email protected].

This site carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are labelled as such and are not endorsements; Board & Pin does not control which advertisements are shown and does not accept payment for editorial mentions.
